one for my baby » about the site
This humble dedication was built during
Winter of 2009. I've always wanted to host a dedication for the amazing character that is Riza Hawkeye at my
Fullmetal Alchemist domain,
roy-mustang.net. However, I had never quite made the jump and start building it. But here it is now! Hooray!
My main goal in making this shrine was to focus on Hawkeye's bright personality, her optimism and ability to improve herself. I have the feeling not many people stop to analyze this side of her and, perhaps, most fans think of her as dark and stern only. The name of the website,
Lux Perpetua (light perpetual), tries to reflect this. It's also borrowed from the text in
Hawkeye's tattoo.
Information was taken from various online translations of the manga and the three Perfect Guidebooks published. I also required the services of
wikipedia for a thing or two. A few black and white images and
all the color pics were scanned by me from the series artbooks and some other merchandise. Tiny icons were borrowed from
famfamfam.com and the image script is thanks to
Milkbox.
This website was
finally uploaded on
December 31st, 2009 and its layout was entirely built with
Adobe Photoshop CS3 and
Notepad (I'm useless). Needless to say,
I do not own Fullmetal Alchemist or Riza Hawkeye. They belong in their entirety to Arakawa Hiromu and they're perfectly fine that way.
