As I perceive them, Roy & Hawkeye mean the world for each other. As we learnt more about their past, it became clear that they've been together for the longest time, something which allows a level of trust, familiarity and intimacy that are a joy to see, and something you don't come across that often.

They know each other by heart and still don't grow bored of their company. They are able to talk freely and be themselves when they're together. Roy speaks the absolute truth and disposes of all his masks when it's Hawkeye the one listening — because he needs someone who knows perfectly who he is, he wants her opinion on everything, he needs her complete acceptance of him. Her unwavering faith in him is a good enough reason to keep going, whatever difficulty may arise.

Hawkeye is a pillar of strength for Roy, just as Roy represents hope in Hawkeye's life — they're each other's touchstones. They also have that certain touch of insecurity about them. Just as Hawkeye's ultimate fear is not being able to protect Roy, he's terrified of the idea that there's a possibility she won't be always there for him.

As they are able to show their weaknesses in front of one another, they can also help the other to overcome his/her fears and become stronger thanks to it. Being together makes them better people, and that's something I just adore.

The inspiration, excitement and sheer joy these pairing has given me through the years remains unmatched by any other. I hope this site manages to reflect even just a little bit of what these two make me feel.
