Aah, good ol' Miroku. It's been ages since I first fell in love with him, but I still adore him to bits. Miroku is the wisest among the group, and despite his perverted nature, he's kind, caring and knows who is the love of his live when he sees her.

Miroku is collected and acts intelligently when in trouble. He does not hesitate to put his life in the line for the people he cares about or even die for them. Even if Miroku is not a leader, he sometimes acts like a father to the Inuyasha-tachi, in the sense that he gives out advice and looks after everyone. His looks are also quite alike.

MONKEY D. LUFFY - One Piece by Oda Eiichiro
Okay... before I get bricked. Luffy is the main character in Eiichiro Oda's masterpiece One Piece and he's also my favorite character in the series. The manga is basically the story of Luffy trying to make his dream come true, becoming the Pirate King, while building up a crew of trusted comrades.

Luffy is ambitious and noble at heart, and what begins as a quite single-minded task becomes much more. The world is a corrupted place, and he's determined to help all those in need. The bond between all the members of the crew is beautiful and unbreakable, and every one of them is willing to do anything for their captain. At the same time, while Luffy looks dense at first sight, there's no doubt his decisions are the right ones and there's much more to him than what can be seen. Oh, and short black hair... check.

SOHMA HATORI - Fruits Basket by Takaya Natsuki
Hatori is one of the Sohma family members cursed by the Juunishi in Fruits Basket. He's a person that's suffered much in his life and also keeps high amounts of guilt inside his heart. Despite looking rather strict, he's warm and kind towards the people he loves.

He's very much loved by the rest of the characters, and most of them also respect him deeply and look up to him. And yeah, the looks again.
