I won't deny that sometimes I'm taken by surprise by the fact that Roy is not the main character in the series, and that its name is not Flame Alchemist, but Fullmetal. Granted, I couldn't love Edward and Alphonse more than I love them already, and I think they make the best main characters any manga could possibly have. Still, Roy just seems so important on a larger scale of the events, that I get confused from time to time.

Roy has been able to grow from the position of secondary character, to that of one of the main ones throughout the story. One wonders how much more he'll grow. Complex, unusual, charismatic... those are just some of the adjectives you could use to describe him. Misunderstood is another one.
