As pathetic as this is gonna look, I've had this shrine planned even before I bought myself roy-mustang.net, and that was October 2004. That's so sad. But anyway, taken in consideration that it's been more than a year and still I've been able to pull this through... well, that says something about the extent of my love for Roy, doesn't it? I guess the fact that not only I haven't lost one ounce of interest for him, but that it's only been growing on me is something to be somewhat proud of (?).

But anyway, I wanted this site to be not only a dump for multimedia (although I also wanted to have an extensive media section) but most importantly a website full of text, rants and semi-coherent writings that could explain to outsiders what makes Roy the amazing character he is.

The title was contributed by my partner in madness Zau, for which I'm eternally grateful. Pyrography is the name of a poem by John Ashbery and which meaning stands for the art of decorating wooden objects by burning designs into the wood using a heated point. I think the word just rings beautifuly and gives a certain depth which suits Roy very nicely.

All in all, I must've changed the layout 3 or 4 times till I finally settled on this one -- which is rather simple and boring, but really practical anyway. I used images I scanned myself from my artbooks and manga and Adobe Photoshop 6.0 to edit them. The whole thing was coded with Notepad, nothing else.

Finally, this site was uploaded one March 4th 2006, after a painstaking building and will hopefully continue to grow as I add missing stuff and Roy himself keeps growing in the series.
